Dewa88 was founded by a small team of technology experts and gaming enthusiasts who shared a common vision — to build an online entertainment platform that truly understands Malaysian players. The first platform launched with a focus on live casino and core slots.
Dewa88 significantly expanded its game catalogue by adding over 200 slot titles from the world's top providers, launched a Sports Betting section covering the Malaysia Super League and EPL, and introduced a VIP loyalty programme that was met with an overwhelming response from the player community.
Recognising that over 70% of players access the platform via smartphone, Dewa88 made a major investment in rebuilding its mobile interface. The new platform — faster, more responsive, and more intuitive — launched to overwhelmingly positive reviews from members.
Recognising the rapid growth of esports in Malaysia, Dewa88 launched a dedicated esports section with full coverage of MPL Malaysia Mobile Legends and international tournaments including VALORANT and Dota 2. A cricket section covering the IPL and T20 World Cup was also launched in the same year.
Dewa88 reached a historic milestone with registered members surpassing 300,000. The VIP Programme was enhanced with the addition of a Diamond tier, and several new payment methods including ShopeePay and Boost were integrated for the convenience of Malaysian members.
Dewa88 now serves over 500,000 registered members across Malaysia. We continue to invest in technology, security and user experience to ensure Dewa88 remains the first choice for Malaysian players in an increasingly competitive online entertainment industry.

DEWA88 TECHNOLOGY PROVIDERS & PARTNERS
Every company has a story — and Dewa88's begins with a simple observation: Malaysian players deserve better. In 2018, when our founding team began exploring Malaysia's online entertainment industry, we found that many existing platforms were built with foreign markets in mind and fell short of local players' specific needs — from unsuitable payment methods to customer support with no Malay-language capability.
That was the moment that gave birth to Dewa88. Not simply to fill a gap in the market, but to set a new standard for the industry — one that puts trust, transparency and a genuinely optimised user experience first, from game selections that match local tastes to payment methods Malaysians use every day.
As we began listening more closely to the needs of local players, a few things became very clear. First, Malaysian players love gaming on their smartphones — they want to enjoy their favourite games anywhere, whether they're relaxing at a kopitiam in Chow Kit or waiting for the LRT at Bukit Bintang. Second, they want the simplest possible deposit and withdrawal process — no dealing with unfamiliar, complicated payment methods. Third, they want to feel valued and well taken care of whenever they have an issue or question.
Dewa88 was built with these three priorities at its core. Our mobile interface was redesigned multiple times until every element felt natural and effortless, even on smaller smartphone screens. We integrated DuitNow, Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, and FPX via Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks because these are the payment methods Malaysian players use in their everyday lives. And we built a Bahasa Malaysia-speaking customer support team that operates 24 hours a day, without interruption.
In terms of games, Dewa88 offers the most complete entertainment ecosystem in Malaysia. Our Live Casino features over 100 tables from world-class providers such as Evolution Gaming and SA Gaming, with Baccarat, Blackjack, Roulette, Sic Bo, Dragon Tiger and much more. Our slots section houses hundreds of titles spanning a wide range of themes and mechanics — from classic 3-reel slots to modern video slots with complex bonus features and progressive jackpots that can reach hundreds of thousands of ringgit.
For sports fans, Dewa88 offers a Sports Betting platform covering the Malaysia Super League, English Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, international badminton and dozens of other sports. Our cricket section is the most comprehensive in Malaysia, with full coverage of the IPL, T20 World Cup and international series. Our growing E-Sports section now spans 15+ titles including Mobile Legends MPL Malaysia, VALORANT VCT APAC and Dota 2 The International.
Dewa88's promotions are built on the principles of transparency and genuine value. We don't believe in luring players with inflated bonus figures tied to near-impossible hidden conditions. Every Dewa88 promotion — from new member welcome bonuses to automatic weekly rebates and our tiered VIP programme — comes with terms that are clear, reasonable and realistically achievable for everyday players. This is part of our commitment to transparency across every aspect of our operations.
Dewa88's commitment to responsible gaming is something we take seriously. We provide a range of tools to help members manage their play — from daily and weekly deposit limits, loss limits and session time limits, to temporary or permanent self-exclusion options. We believe a responsible platform is one that places its players' wellbeing above short-term commercial gain.
Going forward, Dewa88 will continue investing in technological innovation, game expansion, and enhanced user experiences. We have several exciting initiatives in development — from social features that let players connect within the community, to more personalised gameplay experiences based on individual preferences. One thing is certain: every new development will be shaped by listening to the voices and needs of our Malaysian player community, whom we deeply value.
